Frankfort Fishing Report: Mid-summer 2012
Salmon, lake trout and steelhead have continued to be caught of the shores of Frankfort. Adult king salmon began to show up in early May and have never left. Average sizes have been in the 15-20 pound range. Fishing has bee good anywhere from the “Herring Hole” to the south all the way up to “6 Mile Hole” in the north. Early morning (before sun up) fishing the 100 foot drop-offs are almost guaranteed success. The new Stinger “UV” spoon patterns have been working awesome. Also try Rapture fly meat rigs in the Red Pepper and Hypnotist colors on divers. Lake trout up to 20 pounds (like this one) are the bonus fish when trolling for kings. We should see an incredible August in Frankfort. Book your charter trip today! Capt. Andy 231-218-2379
